Das Ziel des Workshops „Bild und Text“ von Katharina Jesdinsky war es, eine Verbindung zwischen Schrift und Bildebene zu schaffen. Ich habe mich auf der Textebene für ein Zitat aus „The Power of the Pen“ von Antonio Muñoz Molina entschieden, welcher in Bleisatz gesetzt wurde. Als Bildebene habe ich kleine Figuren im Linolschnitt angefertigt, die auf die Seiten und Cover gedruckt wurden. Am Ende sind dabei 13 kleine, individuelle Bücher entstanden.
The aim of Katharina Jesdinsky's "Image and Text" workshop was to create a connection between the written and visual levels. I chose a quote from "The Power of the Pen" by Antonio Muñoz Molina for the text level, which was set in lead type. For the image layer, I created small linocut figures that were printed on the pages and cover. In the end, 13 small, individual books were created.
