„chemical“ ist eine variable Schriftart, die ich in meinem dritten Semester entworfen und seitdem weiterentwickelt habe. Die Schrift wurde für die Band „my chemical romance“ entworfen, deren Songs von Tod und dem Morbidem handeln, daher hat sie einen pathologischen und aggressiven Charakter. Die Keile und scharfen Spitzen erzeugen den Eindruck, als könnte man sich wie mit einem Skalpell schneiden oder stechen.
Zusätzlich zu den Kleinbuchstaben gibt es auch Großbuchstaben, Ligaturen, Symbole und Zahlen.
Es gibt 2 Achsen: weight (von normal bis bold) und stab (ebenfalls normal bis bold).

“chemical” is a variable font I designed in my third semester and developed ever since. The font was created for the band “my chemical romance”, whose songs are about death and the morbid, therefore it has a pathological and aggressive character. The wedges and sharp points make it look like you could cut or stab yourself like a scalpel.
